Judith Thomas, CMCA, AMS, CAM,  President of Aries Management is a Certified Manager of Community Associations and Specialist in Association Management.  She also holds a Community Association Managers license with the State of Florida.

The National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (NBC-CAM) approved Judith Thomas as one of the first 500 Certified Managers of Community Associations (CMCA) nationwide.

In addition to demonstrating experience and knowledge related to community associations, CMCAs are bound by the Standards of Professional Conduct established by NBC-CAM to provide the highest quality management services to community associations and their residents.

NBC-CAM is a non-profit corporation founded in 1996 to oversee the development of the CMCA certification program. The Association Management Specialist, (AMS) designation is a professional recognition of those managers who achieve and demonstrate competence, skill and knowledge in the planning, operating and management of condominium, cooperative and homeowner associations.

The Community Associations Institute (CAI) is a national, nonprofit association created in 1973 to educate and represent America’s community association industry. It is a multi-disciplinary alliance leading the industry and fostering effective community associations. CAI estimates that 32 million Americans live in dwellings governed by a Community Association.  Continuing education programs are required of both CMCA and AMS designees.

Thomas Basalla, Vice President, has an extensive background in land development and home building along with considerable experience and expertise in community association issues.

He is a reliable authority in construction issues, budgeting and long term planning . In addition, he is responsible for overseeing our reserve study company, Synergy Reserve Consultants.

As background, a Reserve Study is a process by which the physical assets of a Condominium or Homeowners Association are studied to determine when they will need to be replaced, the future cost of that replacement and how much money needs to be put away on an yearly basis to assure that adequate funds are available to replace the assets when they reach the end of their useful lives. Recent changes in State law relative to Condominiums have all but mandated that Condominium Associations throughout the State undertake Reserve Studies as a way of determining what constitutes a “fully funded Reserve”. As of September 2010,  homeowners associations will be subject to similar mandates.
